ಕಠಾರಿವೀರ ಹಾಗು ಗಾಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದ ವಿವಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಇಂದು (24 ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 2012) ಕರೆಯಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ಸಭೆಯ ಅಂತಿಮ ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ನಾಡಿದ್ದು, ಅಂದರೆ 26 ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 2012 ರಂದು ಹೊರಬೀಳಲಿದೆ. ಇಂದಿನ ಸಭೆಗೆ ಹಿರಿಯ ನಟ ಅಂಬರೀಷ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಠಾರಿವೀರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಮುನಿರತ್ನ ಗೈರುಹಾಜರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.

ಇಂದಿನ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗೆ ಬಹುತೇಕ, ಶೇ 90 ರಷ್ಟು ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅಂತಿಮ ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ಘೋಷಣೆಗೂ ಮೊದಲು ಅಂಬರೀಷ್ ಜೊತೆ ಚರ್ಚಿಸುವ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಂದು ನಡೆದ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಕೆ. ವಿ, ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ್, ನಟ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ ಹಾಗೂ ಗಾಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಕೆ ಮಂಜು ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು. ನಾಡಿದ್ದು ಬರುವ ಅಂತಮ ತೀರ್ಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ತಾವು ಬದ್ಧರಾಗಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದ ಕೆ ಮಂಜು ಘೋಷಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಸದ್ಯ ಯಾವುದೇ ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ಹೊರಬೀಳದ ಕಾರಣ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರರ ಯಾವ ಚಿತ್ರ ಮೊದಲು ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರೆದುರು ಬರಬಹುದೆಂಬ ಕುತೂಹಲ ಹಾಗೇ ಉಳಿದಿದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಯಾರ ಪರವಾಗಿ ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿರಬಹುದೆಂಬ ಜಿಜ್ಞಾಸೆಯೂ ಇನ್ನೆರಡು ದಿನ ಜಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವಂತಾಗಿದೆ. 26ಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವ ಅಂತಿಮ ತೀರ್ಪಿಗಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಕಾಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Katari Veera Surasundarangi-Godfather heading for a bitter clash?

Upendra, on a rare note, is likely to have his two movies releasing simultaneously. The actor, despite putting his best efforts to bring peace between Munirathna-K Manju, has failed in his attempt. As a result, the warring producer are now reportedly releasing their films Katari Veera Surasundarangi-Godfather in the coming weeks.

The latest publicity materials clearly indicate that the producers are in no mood to soften their stand. The promotional posters of both the films have come out by announcing “Coming Soon”. Sources have said that several attempts made by their close friends have failed to come to fruition. While K Manju continues to say that his Godfather hit the floors first and it should release first, Munirathna claims that he announced long before that Katari Veera Surasundarangi will release in April.

According to Munirathna, Godfather can be postponed, as it is a regular film. On K Manju's stand, the Rakta Kaneeru producer suspects that the filmmaker might have sold the theatrical rights, which is making him to stick to his decision.

Katari Veera Surasundarangi is a first full-fledged 3D Kannada film starring Upendra, Ramya and Ambareesh. Whereas, Godfather directed by S Sriram is a remake of Tamil superhit film Varalaaru. The highlight of this movie is that Oscar winner AR Rahman has composed the music.

Anna Bond First, Katari next God Father...

The clashing of titans has reached one stage for Monday. Firstly the ‘Anna Bond’ of power star Puneeth Rajkumar and ‘Katari Veera Sura Sundarangi ’ of Upendra are not clashing on April 27th.

‘Anna Bond’ is for Workers Day – May 1 and next week is ‘Katari Veera Sura Sundarangi ’ is slated for release. That has solved the major problem and two biggies not even changed the date of release but also adjusted to come one week later.

In the second week of May 2012 the first 3D film ‘Katari Veera Sura Sundarangi ’ is the date fixed as of now. The strong objection to it comes from ‘God Father’ producer K Manju.

One fact remains – all the three films are not censored by the Regional Censor Board. K Manju is waiting for Monday evening meeting at the residence of Ambarish. The talk with Upendra has failed for producer K Manju when Upendra advised K Manju to defer for a few weeks.

K Manju announced sitting on ‘Satyagraha’ on Saturday. That decision will be taken on Monday evening says K Manju.

'ಕಠಾರಿವೀರ ಸುರಸುಂದರಾಂಗಿ' ಹಾಗೂ 'ಗಾಡ್‌ಫಾದರ್' ವಿವಾದ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ತಿರುವು ಪಡೆದಿದೆ. 'ಗಾಡ್‌ಫಾದರ್' ಚಿತ್ರದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಕೆ ಮಂಜು ಅವರು ತಮಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಸಿಗದಿದ್ದರೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಮುಂದೆ ಉಪವಾಸ ಸತ್ಯಾಗ್ರಹ ಕೂರುವುದಾಗಿ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಎರಡೂ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ವಿವಾದ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಘಟ್ಟ ತಲುಪಿದೆ.

ENGLISH VERSION

The releases of Anna Bond and Katari Veera Surasundarangi, the two most-anticipated movies of the year, have been postponed. The latest buzz is that the films will now be clashed a week later i.e., on May 3 and 4.

It is believed that the delay in the completion of the post-productions work of both Anna Bond and Katari Veera Surasundarangi is the reason behind the postpone. Raghavendra Rajkumar and Muniratha have sent notices to theatre managements for their change in plans. While the Puneet Rajkumar starrer film will be released on May 3, Upendra's film will see the light of the day on May 4.

On the other end, Munirathna has not solved the release date issue with K Manju, who wants to release his Godfather starring Upendra before Katari Veera Surasundarangi. However, several attempts made by the industry dignitaries have failed and if they do not solve the issue, there are chances of both the films featuring Uppi releasing simultaneously in the first week of May.

ಗಾಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಚಿತ್ರದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಕೆ ಮಂಜು ಉಪೇಂದ್ರರ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಧಿಕ್ಕರಿಸಿ ಸಂಧಾನ ಸಭೆಯನ್ನೇ ಬಹಿಷ್ಕರಿಸಿ ಹೊರನಡೆದ ಘಟನೆ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಹಾಗೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವೇನು ಎಂಬುದು ತಡವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಸಂಧಾನದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ, ಗಾಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಕಠಾರಿವೀರ ನಂತರ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಎಂದು ಮಂಜುರಿಗೆ ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದರಂತೆ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೆಂಡಮಂಡಲವಾಗಿ ಮಂಜು ಹೊರನಡೆದರಂತೆ.

ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ಮುನಿರತ್ನರ ಮನವೊಲಿಸಲೂ ಕೂಡ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಮುನಿರತ್ನ ಪಟ್ಟೂ ಸಡಿಲಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಉಪ್ಪಿ ಮಾತನ್ನೂ ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಮಂಜು ಮಾತ್ರ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ವಾಗ್ವಾದ ನಡೆಸಿ ಸಭೆಯನ್ನೇ ಬಹಿಷ್ಕರಿಸಿ ಹೊರನಡೆದದ್ದು ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಮುಜುಗರವ ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಕಾರಣ, ಸಂಧಾನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮಂಜು ಹಾಗೂ ಮನಿರತ್ನ ಅವರುಗಳೇ ವಿದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿತ್ರೀಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರರನ್ನು ಮನೆಗೆ ಕರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು.

ಇದೀಗ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಸಂಧಾನ ವಿಫಲವಾದ ನಂತರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಅಂಬರೀಷ್ ಮನೆ ಕಡೆ ಹೋಗುವ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಸಂಧಾನ ನಡೆಸಲು ಅಂಬಿ ಒಪ್ಪುತ್ತಾರೋ, ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಬಗೆ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತೋ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಸದ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಯಕ್ಷ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಯೇ! ಒಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರರ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಧಿಕ್ಕರಿಸುವಷ್ಟು ಧೈರ್ಯ ಮಂಜುಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಎಂದಿ ಇಡೀ ಗಾಂದಿನಗರ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ.

A Sandalwood producer has taken on the task of converting around 200 movie halls in the state into 3D compliant ones. Possible?

The movie Avatar may have been the talking point among movie goers for its silver screen wizardry a few years ago and Titanic 3D may have sunk a few records of its own in its new avatar, but what’s raised many an eyebrow, is a Sandalwood filmmaker’s attempt to convert over 200 cinema halls into 3D-enabled ones.
According to the Gandhinagar grapevine, producer Munirathna is in the process of converting 200 theatres across the state to allow 3D format screening. So, is this Herculean task that he’s taken on an act of charity or is it all done to aid the release of his next film? Munirathna, says, “While films like Titanic are being converted from 2D to 3D, ours was shot using a 3D camera. But since most theatres in Karnataka are not 3D compliant, we have decided to convert around 150 to 200 theatres to facilitate this. Normal screens will not give you the 3D effect and that’s one of the reasons why we are converting the
screens into 3D format.

IS IT REALLY POSSIBLE?

Converting about 200 theatres into the 3D format is no joke. KCN Mohan of Navrang theatre, says, “We wanted to be one of the first theatres to launch 3D compatible screens when Jogaiah released. We spent nearly 72 lakh on the conversion process and finally the film did not match up to expectations. Munirathna has proposed changes, but I am not aware how far it will work. Spending around 72 lakh for a theatre is impossible as even a pair of 3D glasses today costs around 300 each. Even a low-end version will set them back by 1 or 2 lakh. I am not sure how they will implement it.”

‘The 3D film will be affordable to all’

We have spent so much on the making of the film and if it’s not going to be evident when the audience is watching it, then there is no point,” says Munirathna.
While Bangalore, Mysore, and Mangalore and a few other cities in Karnataka have 3D theatres, Munirathna is planning to venture into other regions like Tumkur, Haasan, and Mandya.
So what really goes into converting a normal screen into 3D? Gee Mon Pullely, a 3D stereoscopic expert, explains, “To project a 3D film, you need a silver screen. A normal white screen and a pair of 3D glasses will not suffice. The silver screen has a polarized technology, which will help in giving a three dimensional image. Since you need a ‘left’ and ‘right’ image, you need another projector to get the desired effect. Since the technology has improved at a massive scale, you will require advanced 3D glasses as well.”
Considering that the makers are investing a lot in the film, how do they plan to make their money back? Not willing to reveal his expenses, Munirathna, says, “We will be releasing the films in two versions — 2D and 3D — and will be giving use and throw 3D glasses to the viewers as well. We are still calculating the cost of the ticket. Though it will be slightly higher, we will work around a price that is affordable to all.”

'KVSS' Audio Hits Stands

For one of the biggest films of the recent past, the first 3D film in Kannada ‘Katari Veera Sura Sundarangi ’ starring super star Upendra, Ramya, Ambarish in lead roles of Suresh Krissna direction and Munirathna Naidu lavish venture the audio was released at Gayathri Vihar Palace at Bengaluru Palace.

Starting one hour twenty minutes late the colorful audio event was looking like a Congress-I event as the opposition leader in Assembly Siddaramaiah, DK Shivakumar, Ambarish, Ramya all from Congress were on the dais at the audio release time.

Siddaramaiah releasing the audio CD brought out by Ashwini Media Networks Limited stated that he was invited by Ramya and Ambarish to come to this event. Producer Munirathna Naidu did not invite me. This film appears to be a good mixture for the audience stated Siddaramaiah.

Ramya was fit enough to call ‘Sura Sundarangi’ from her costume. She had not seen an audio release event like this in the last 10 years. In the last ten years of my career I have not seen an audio release like this. She was very happy for the presence of Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar uncle for audio release.

Ambarish was frank in saying he was real Yamadharma for director Suresh Krissna (absent to audio release) because of my busy schedule and late coming to the sets. I found it stressful doing this role pointed Ambarish in his short address on the occasion.

Upendra wins wherever he goes from his dialogues and Ramya from her looks said V Ravichandran. A producer should have complete interest in the film makes this type of film pointed V Ravichandran. Producer Rockline Venkatesh advised Munirathna on the risk point at the beginning. His commitment to create a trend I did not stop him said Rock.

I should talk only about Munirathna Naidu said Upendra in his address. Except direction he has taken care on every field of this film. He is everything of this film complimented Upendra.

To suit the images of producer Munirathna a blank suitcase came when a box was opened at the mock Yama Court. Upendra got Chitranna, Ambarish a cycle (recall his Jaleel role in Nagarahavu) and Ramya a parrot. Dayanand as Yama and Arun Sagar as Chitragupta passed lighter moment.

Dilip Pai, Tejaswini, Ramya Barna, Divya Sridhar, Ajith, Aneesh and others took part in the dance program for Kannada film songs.

ಸದ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಯಾಂಡಲ್‌ವುಡ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ತಲೆಯೆತ್ತಿರುವ ಈ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಇನ್ನೊಂದೆರಡು ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಸಿಗಬಹುದು ಅಥವಾ ಸಿಗದೆಯೂ ಇರಬಹುದು. ಆದಷ್ಟು ಬೇಗ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಇತ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಲಿ ಎಂದು ಆಶಿಸೋಣ. ಆದರೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೂ ಮುನ್ನ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಹಣೆಬರಹ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸುವ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕ ಮಹಾಪ್ರಭುಗಳಾದ ತಾವು ತಮ್ಮ ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ತಿಳಿಸಿ ಎಂಬುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಆಶಯ.

Upendra fails to broker peace between Munirathna-K Manju

Real Star Upendra, who has returned from his Europe vacation this morning, is mediating between the warring producers K Munirathna and K Manju, who have been fighting over their movie releases for the past few weeks. It has become a headache for the actor, as the producers want to release their movies Katari Veera Surasundarangi and Godfather – both starring Uppi – first.

The meeting has begun at Upendra's residence 'Summane' at noon along with Munirathna and K Manju. If the early talks are anything to go by, the Real Star has failed to broker peace between the producers, as there are adamant on their stand. After failing to convince in an open meeting, the actor is now having individual talks with both the filmmakers. However, the issue is expected to be resolved by this evening.

The controversy broke out after Munirathna announced the release date of his Katari Veera Surasundarangi (KVS). K Manju, who has been silent all these days, came out claiming that his Godfather should be released first, as it hit the floors a year ago. Later, the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) and actor Ambareesh's attempt to bring peace between the parties did not yield any result.

Katari Veera Surasundarangi goes for a massive release

Despite being in the news for wrong reasons, Upendra's Katari Veera Surasundarangi (KVS) is all set to have a massive release. The buzz is that Munirathna, who is adamant on releasing the film on April 27, has got 140 theatres for the release of the first-ever 3D Kannada film.

According to sources, Munirathna's Katari Veera Surasundarangi will be releasing in 2D and 3D formats. The movie, which will be censored on April 24, is hitting screens in 140 theatres and 45 plus theatres will be converted to 3D.

Meanwhile, K Manju, who wants to release his Godfather starring Upendra on the same day, will be having a meeting headed by Ambareesh along with Munirathna on April 18. The veteran actor is intervening, as both the filmmaker have failed to find an amicable solution for their release issue.

Being labelled as the first-ever full fledged 3D Kannada film, Katari Veera Surasundarangi features Ramya, Ambareesh and Muthappa Rai in the lead roles. It is being made with the budget of Rs 12 crore.

'KVSS' audio on Thursday! 19th April

While the tussle is on for the release of ‘Katari Veera Sura Sundarangi ’ starring Upendra, Ramya, Ambarish, Sridhar, Doddanna and others in first 3D film by director Suresh Krissna for producer Munirathna Naidu on April 27th, the preparations are on for the release of the audio CD of ‘KVSS’.

On 19th April, Gayathri Vihar Palace will have attendance of Kannada cinema industry personalities and also Congress I political party personalities because producer Munirathna Naidu belongs to Congress-I.

The four pages 3D invitation has reached the media on Monday evening. Ashwini Audio has acquired the audio rights of this big budget cinema of Vrushabhadri Productions.

For the audio release the opposition leader of the Legislative Assembly Congress I Siddaramaiah will be the chief guest at Gayathri Vihar, Bengaluru Palace.

Politicians BK Hariprasad, Smt Motamma, Dr G Parameshwar, DK Shivakumar, RV Deshpande, BL Shanker grace the audio release at 7 pm.

Ambarish, Ramya, Upendra and others will be on the dais of this first 3D film in Kannada that has the mythological and social contents in ‘Katari Veera Sura Sundarangi ’.

The first 3D film by producer Munirathna Naidu 'Katari Veera Sura Sundarangi' made at a cost of Rs.15 crores starring Upendra, Ramya, Ambarish, Doddanna, Sridhar and others is releasing the audio on 19th of April. The rendezvous is Gayathri Vihar at Bengaluru Palace.

It will be a turnout of top Kannada film stars and top Congress-I politicians at the audio release.

It is a Congress party meeting at the outset as Ambarish, Ramya and Munirathna Naidu all are Congress I connected personalities. Opposition leaders Siddaramaiah, Hariprasad, Mottamma, Dr G Parameshwar, DK Shivakumar, RV Deshpande, BL Shanker and others are taking part in it.

On the verdict of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce that the one who gets the censor certificate first could come to the theatres – producer K Manju is not happy with it.

Dubai: Sandalwood Stars to Descend for 'Temptations 2012'

Kannada cinema fans spread across the UAE will get one more opportinity to watch their favourite film personalities from the Sandalwood industry perform live, with 'Kannada Stars Temptations 2012' to be presented by 'Enthrall World' at Dubai Tennis Stadium, on April 27, 8 pm onwards.

According to the organizers, leading Kannda artistes like Upendra, Pooja Gandhi, Ramesh Arvind, Diganth, Neethu, Radhika Gandhi, Tarun Chandra, Pragnaa, Vijay Ragavendra and Harshika Poonacha will be part of the troupe.

Noted singers Vani Harikrishna, Anuradha Bhat and Chetan will present Kannada songs of the last four decades.

"Popular songs of yesteryears, specially hit songs from the 70s to the latest ones will be part of entire event," the organisers told daijiworld.

Sadhu Kokila, Bank Janardhana, Tennis Krishna and Arun Sagar will also be part of the troupe.

Noted music director Hari Krishna will compose the music for entire event.

Ramya edits a song

She has been acting for nearly a decade and has been vocal about her desire to produce films. But actor Ramya has much more up her sleeve.

The Sandalwood actor recently shot for a duet with Real Star Upendra in Manali, for their film Katari Veera Surasundarangi, which she has been editing. "I wanted the song to turn out a certain way. I had contributed a few ideas for the song, which has been beautifully choreographed by Noble master of Ringa, Ringa fame. Producer Munirathnam thought that it would be best if I sat in while the song is edited for the film. I'm very excited about this development," says Ramya.

Does that mean that direction is not far behind? "Well, I tried my hand at direction some time ago when Dhanush, Aishwarya and I did a documentary together. Later on there were plans of me assisting on their film 3, but then I got busy with Sidlingu and couldn't commit. So yeah, I may do my bit in the future," she says.

'ಕಠಾವೀರ ಸುರಸುಂದರಾಂಗಿ' ಹಾಗೂ 'ಗಾಡ್ ಫಾದರ್' ಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ವಿವಾದ ಬಿಗಡಾಯಿಸಿದೆ. ಇವೆರಡೂ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರು ತಾ ಮುಂದು ನಾ ಮುಂದು ಎಂದು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಗೆ ಪಟ್ಟು ಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಸದ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಗೆಹರಿಯುವ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ.

ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ (ಏ.13) ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಕೆ ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ್ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಸಂಧಾನ ಸಭೆ ವಿಫಲವಾಗಿದೆ. 'ಕಠಾರಿವೀರ' ಚಿತ್ರದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಮುನಿರತ್ನ ಹಾಗೂ 'ಗಾಡ್ ಫಾದರ್' ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಕೆ ಮಂಜು ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಟ್ಟನ್ನು ಬಿಡದೆ ಸಭೆಯಿಂದ ವಾಕೌಟ್ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

ಇಂದು ಸಂಜೆ 4 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಮಾತುಕತೆಗ ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಚಿತ್ರ ಮೊದಲು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು, ಎಷ್ಟು ದಿನಗಳ ಅಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಏ.27ರಂದೇ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಪಟ್ಟುಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Katari Veera Surasundarangi audio to storm stands on Apr 19

The audio album of Upendra and Ramya starrer Kataari Veera Sura Sundaraanga will be released on 19th April 2012 in a special function organised at the Gayathri Vihar Hall. This was disclosed by the film’s producer Munirathna in a chat with chitraloka.

First the film’s announced date of release was clashing with the release of Puneet Raj Kumar starrer “Anna Bond’ directed by Soori and at the same time another prominent producer K.Manju had petitioned the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce to stall the release of the film to enable his film God Father starring Upendra to release first.

Munirathna said that Upendra and Bollywood actress Naina Kher are now shooting for a song sequence of the film which is being filmed in Jordon under the dance choreography of Noble. With the picturisation of the song sequence, the entire shooting process of the film would be over. He added that the post production work is being done methodically as it involves deep interest in processing the 3 D and 2 D prints separately. The sound and graphic work is also meeting its deadlines, said Munirathna.

Later talking about the controversy about the release and producer K.Manju’s petition to the KFCC, Munirathna jocularly said that his friend Kobri is always interested to walk in one way traffic and is not interested to go in a two way line.

“Just because he has selected Oscar Award winner Rehman to do music for the film, can you expect the other producers making films with Upendra to wait till he releases his own film’ said Munirathna.

Lakshmi Rai Hopes Big About Kalpana

Belgaum girl Lakshmi Rai who is making it big in other three South Indian films has been occasionally acting in Kannada films. Now, she is working with Real Star Upendra in the film “Kalpana’ directed by Ram Narayan. The film is the remake of Tamil hit Kanchana in Kannada. “The film was a trendsetter in Telugu and Tamil, I hope it will repeat the success,” she says.

“It gave me some helpful acting tips,” Lakshmi Rai says. Meanwhile, she has participated in the shooting of the film held in Bengaluru and also in Chennai.

Meanwhile, the actress who can speak fluently in Kannada has been in news as some producers have approached her to do a Hindi film titled as “Bhindi Bazaar’. Though she is quite busy in the South Indian film industry, Lakshmi Rai wants to take up her Bollywood debut quite seriously. She has already started toning up her body and has also tried different type of looks for her first Hindi venture.

“Of course, I listened to the script from the makers of Bhindi Bazaar, but I did not sign it, since I want to begin by B-town stint with a bang,” she adds. To realize her dream, she shed some calories by spending more time in Gym and is following a strict dietary regimen for the glowing, curvy look. “I want to look my best in my B-town splash since the first impression is always the best,” she points out. Meanwhile, Lakshmi Rai’s forthcoming Telugu venture Adhinayakudu is also hitting screens shortly. In this film the lanky actress is sharing screen space with Telugu super star Balakrishna.

'KVSS' for April 27 - Munirathna Naidu

Producer of the whopping Rs.15 crore ‘Katari Veera Sura Sundarangi ’ Munirathna Naidu sitting alone from the team of his film on Monday afternoon addressed the media and said he is almost certain of releasing the film on 27th of April – a day after the release of ‘Anna Bond’ on April 26.

· I am all set for 27th of April release of ‘KVSS’ starring Upendra, Ramya, Ambarish, Sridhar, Doddanna and others made in Suresh Krissna direction.

Uppi in 'KVSS' with 'Raktha Kannerru' Flash Back!

Let them release Katari after 10 weeks: K Manju

In the meantime, K Manju, the maker of Godfather that also features Upendra, is demanding that his film be released before Katari Veera Surasundarangi and that Munirathna, the film's producer, release it 10 weeks after Godfather hits theatres.

"I was in talks with Munirathna about the possibility of postponing his film. Now that he has refused to oblige, I had no choice but to ask the chamber to intervene."

Manju is of the opinion that since Godfather was the first to go on the floors and has been in the making for over a year, his film should be the first to hit the screens. "It does not make sense to release the same hero's films back to back. This has happened before, when two of Ganesh's films released in consecutive weeks and the collections dipped," claims Manju, adding, "I will not release my film with Anna Bond on April 27. I will release it a week later, on May 3. With Munirathna insisting on releasing his film along with Anna Bond, I have filed a complaint with the film chamber. But what has also upset me is that Upendra has not spoken to Munirathna to solve this issue. He should have pushed for Godfather's release first.The filmmaker now awaits the decision of the film chamber.

ಕಠಾರಿವೀರ ಸುರಸುಂದರಾಂಗಿ ಚಿತ್ರದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಮುನಿರತ್ನ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಕೆ ಮಂಜು ಫಿಲ್ಮ್ ಚೇಂಬರ್ ಗೆ ದೂರು ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ತಮ್ಮ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದ 'ಗಾಡ್ ಫಾದರ್' ಚಿತ್ರ 'ಕಠಾರಿವೀರ ಸುರಸುಂದರಾಂಗಿ' ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗಬೇಕು. ಗಾಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಅದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ಮಹೂರ್ತ ಆಚರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ವಿಚಿತ್ರವಾದವನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಕೆ ಮಂಜು.

ಆದರೆ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಮುನಿರತ್ನ ತಮ್ಮ ಕಠಾರಿವೀರ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯನ್ನು ಇದೇ ತಿಂಗಳು 27 ರಂದು (ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 27, 2012) ಘೋಷಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಭರ್ಜರಿ ಪ್ರಚಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರಚಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯವಿರಲಿ, ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ದಿನಾಂಕವನ್ನೂ ಘೋಷಿಸದ ಗಾಡ್ ಫಾದರ್ ಚಿತ್ರ ಅದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ಬರಬೇಕೆಂಬ ವಾದವನ್ನು ಮುನಿರತ್ನ ಒಪ್ಪುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಇವರಿಬ್ಬರ ವಾದ-ವಿವಾದವೀಗ ಫಿಲ್ಮ್ ಚೇಂಬರ್ ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಲೇರಿದೆ.

ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯವೆಂದರೆ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಕಿತ್ತಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳೆರಡರ ಹೀರೋ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ. ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳೆರಡು ಒಂದೇ ದಿನ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಆಗಿ ಉಪ್ಪಿ ವರ್ಸಸ್ ಉಪ್ಪಿ ಆಗದಿದ್ದರೆ ಸಾಕು ಎಂಬುದೀಗ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳ ಅಳಲು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಕನ್ನಡದ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಬಿಗ್ ಬಜೆಟ್ ಚಿತ್ರ 'ಅಣ್ಣಾಬಾಂಡ್' ಕೂಡ ಅದೇ ವಾರ (ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 26, 2012) ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಆಗುತ್ತಿದೆ

ಈ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಕನ್ನಡದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರಿಬ್ಬರು ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಿತ್ತಾಟ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಾಲ್ಕು ತಿಂಗಳ ಮೊದಲೇ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಮುನಿರತ್ನ ಎಂಬುದು ಒಂದು ಕಡೆಯಾದರೆ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಮೊದಲೇ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿರುವ ಮಂಜು ಇದೀಗ ಚಿತ್ರ ಮುಗಿಸಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಗೆ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಮುನಿರತ್ನ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ದಿನ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೆ ಮಂಜು ಕ್ಯಾತೆ ತೆಗೆದಿದ್ದು ಮುನಿರತ್ನರನ್ನು ಕೆರಳಿಸಿದೆ.

ಆದರೆ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ಈ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರಿಬ್ಬರ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಈ ಮೊದಲು ಆ ಕುರಿತು ಯಾವುದೇ ಸಂಧಾನ, ಮಾತುಕತೆ ನಡೆದಿತ್ತೇ? ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ದಿನಾಂಕದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಇದ್ದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಗೊಂದಲ ಮೂಡಿತೇ? ಅಥವಾ ಮುನಿರತ್ನ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೆ ಮಂಜು ಅದೇ ದಿನ ಚಿತ್ರ ತೆರೆಗೆ ತರುವ ಯೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ? ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟೇ ಉತ್ತರ ದೊರೆಯಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.

ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 26, 2012 ಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಆಗಲಿದೆ ಬಹುನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ಚಿತ್ರ ತೆಲುಗಿನ ಈಗ. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ತೆಲುಗು ಚಿತ್ರ ರಚ್ಚ, ಬರಲಿರುವ ದಮ್ಮು ಕೂಡ ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ತೀವ್ರ ಪೈಪೋಟಿ ನೀಡಲಿರುವುದು ಗ್ಯಾರಂಟಿ. ಈ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರಿಬ್ಬರು ಕಿತ್ತಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲ, ರಾಜಿ ಮೂಲಕ ಬಗೆಹರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಇಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ಹಿತ ಎಂಬುದು ಸಿನಿಪ್ರೇಮಿಗಳ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ.

ENGLISH VERSION

Well known film producer K.Manju who was the Vice President of the Kannada film producers association has now gone against Munirathna, the present President of the KPA. In a petition filed in the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, K.Manju has requested the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce to stop the release of Munirathna’s new film Kataari Veera Sura Sundaraangi which has now been planned for release on 3rd May 2012.

In a letter written to the KFCC President on 7thApril, the copy of which has been sent to the media, producer K.Manju has sought the co-operation of the trade organization to fecilitate the early release of his film “God Father’ starring Real Star Upendra and newbie actress Soundarya, as he had launched the production of the film earlier than the launch of KVSS. In the event of Munirathna seriously making attempts to release the film KVSS, Manju has requested the KFCC not to allow any advertisement of Munirrathna’s film to be published in the newspapers or allow him to get a 100 percent tax exemption for the film. A letter of confirmation is needed from the KFCC to the state government confirming that the film has followed all the procedures that makes it eligible for the full entertainment tax exemption.

K.Manju has requested the KFCC to make arrangements for the release of his film God Father at the earliest and then allow producer Munirathna to release his film at a later date. He has also added that Upendra’s another film Kalpana should be released later to the release of two films- God Father and Kataari Veera Sura Sundaraangi starring Upendra in the lead.

Industry observers are surprised over this new development which has led to some speculation that producer K.Manju might not have taken unilateral decision to petition to KFCC against the release of the film KVSS. It is well known in the industry that Corporate film distributor Prasad of Samarth Ventures has taken distribution rights of the film God Father and Vijay starrer Rajani Kantha from K.Manju. K.Manju who had suffered big losses in all his recent films is happy that he has been bailed out of the release responsibilities of his two forthcoming films.
