Uppi is Uppinakayi - Superstar with Nick Name

‘Uppigintha Ruchi Bere Illa….meaning there is no taste good compared to salt…this became popular from ‘A’ Kannada film of Upendra for his debut acting.

In Kannada cinema superstar Upendra is coined as ‘Uppi’ and this ‘Uppinakayi’ is the name what senior actor Lokanath has got from ‘Bhoothayyana Maga Ayyu’ of Siddalingaiah in the late 70’s.

Now the tentative title for Upendra film for producer Anaji Nagaraj is ‘Uppinakayi’. He has ‘Topiwala’ for Srinivas direction and now comes another film.

In the Victory Venkatesh of Telugu cinema ‘Chintakayala Ravi’ Kannada superstar Upendra is appearing. Mahesh Babu who had given a few hits in Kannada starring Power star Puneeth Rajkumar is the director of this film. According to producer Anaji Nagaraj 70 percent of the shoot will be held in foreign country.

Anaji Nagaraj currently has on hand ‘Bheema Theeradalli’ and ‘Paramashiva’. Anaji Nagaraj ace cameraman too is waiting for the right time for launch of his film with Upendra in lead role.
