Rumour mills have it that Upendra, who is known for casting big names as his female leads, has offered the forthcoming movie to Deepika Padukone. The actress, who always wished to do Kannada films, is considering the offer and is working out dates. However, the question that is making traders to cross their fingers is the 'remuneration part'. Deepika reportedly gets somewhere around Rs. 4.5 to 5 crore per film and the Sandalwood could not afford to pay that price for the actress.
In the recent times, Shriya Saran and Nayantara said to have got huge remuneration. However, Deepika's paycheque is almost 10 times bigger than that of Shriya and Nayan. But it is said that Deepika Padukone might accept the offer for a less remuneration considering that she shares a good rapport with Upendra.
Meanwhile, Upendra has either confirmed the news nor to denied it. When we called him, the Real Star said that he would be in a position to talk about the cast-crew only after the completion of the scripting work.
