No titles (Basavanna) to release on Upendra's birthday?

Director Srinivasa Raju's (Dandupalya fame) upcoming thriller starring Real Star Upendra, Saloni Asvwani and Ragini Dwivedi has been in the making for nearly a year. Titled Basavanna, the film ran into trouble right in the beginning, starting with the title and subsequently the first look that featured Upendra in a dhyana mudra and a gun nearby, and later a set of pictures featuring him wearing a red dhoti, rudraksha beads, sacred thread and vibhuti, and brandishing a sword.

For a long time, thereafter, Srinivasa maintained that the film would be renamed or even released without a title. There has been no word on a new title, but we now hear that the team has finished shooting, in locations across India, Sweden and Turkey. Says a source, "The team recently flew to Turkey to can the remaining songs. With that, shooting has been completed. Now, all that remains is post-production work. Producer CR Manohar, who is also backing Upendra's directorial venture Uppi2, wants to release Basavannaon the actor's birthday, September 18."

ರಿಯಲ್ ಸ್ಟಾರ್ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ ಅವರು "ಸಿಕ್ಕಾಪಟ್ಟೆ ಇಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟೆ ನಾನು ಸೂಪರೋ ರಂಗ.." ಎಂದು ಹಾಡಿ ಕುಣಿದ 'ಸೂಪರ್' ಚಿತ್ರದ ಹಾಡೇ ಈಗ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಶೀರ್ಷಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಸೂಪರ್ ರಂಗ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಚಿತ್ರೀಕರಣ ಫಿನಿಶ್ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಇನ್ನೇನಿದ್ದರೂ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ನಂತರದ ಕೆಲಸಗಳು ಭರದಿಂದ ಸಾಗಲಿವೆ. ರಕ್ತಕಣ್ಣೀರು, ಅನಾಥರು ಬಳಿಕ ಸಾಧು ಕೋಕಿಲ ಹಾಗೂ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ ಕಾಂಬಿನೇಷನಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುತ್ತಿರುವ ಚಿತ್ರ 'ಸೂಪರ್ ರಂಗ'. ಈ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಬ್ಬರು ನಾಯಕಿಯರು ಕೃತಿ ಕರಬಂಧ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಿಯಾಂಕಾ. ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ ಅವರು ಪವರ್ ಫುಲ್ ಡೈಲಾಗ್ ಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳನ್ನು ರಂಜಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕೆ ಮಂಜು ಸಿನೆಮಾಸ್ ಬಹು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ಚಿತ್ರ ಸೂಪರ್ ಸ್ಟಾರ್ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ ಅಭಿನಯದ 'ಸೂಪರ್ ರಂಗ' ಚಿತ್ರದ ಹಾಡೊಂದು ಯುರೋಪ್ ದೇಶದ ಸ್ಲೊವೇನಿಯಾ, ಸೆಳ್ಳೈ, ಲುಜಾಣ, ಐಸ್ ಕವ್ವ, ಫುಟ್ ಸ್ಟ್ರೀಟ್, ಚರ್ಚ್ ಸರ್ಕಲ್, ಬ್ಲೆಡ್ ರಿವರ್, ರಸ್ತೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಫೋರ್ಟ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿತ್ರೀಕರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಇಮ್ರಾನ್ ಸರ್ದಾರಿಯಾ ನೃತ್ಯ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ "ನನಗೂ ನಿನಗೂ ಉಸಿರಾಟ ಎಂದು ಒಂದೇ..ಎರಡು ಹೃದಯದ ಎದೆ ಬಡಿತ ಒಂದೇ, ಹಾಡಿನಲ್ಲೂ ಒಂದೇ, ಹಸಿವಿನಲ್ಲೂ ಒಂದೇ, ಹಗಳಿರಳು ಒಂದೇ, ಹಣೆಬರಹದಲು ಒಂದೇ.... ಎಂಬ ಗೀತೆಗೆ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೃತಿ ಕರ್ಬಂಧ ಅವರ ಅಭಿನಯಕ್ಕೆ ಇಮ್ರಾನ್ ಸರ್ದಾರಿಯ ನೃತ್ಯ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

ತೆಲುಗಿನ ಕಿಕ್ ಚಿತ್ರದ ರೀಮೇಕ್ ಇದು 2009ರಲ್ಲಿ ತೆರೆಕಂಡ ತೆಲುಗಿನ ಕಿಕ್ ಚಿತ್ರದ ರೀಮೇಕ್ 'ಸೂಪರ್ ರಂಗ'. ಮೂಲ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ರವಿತೇಜ ಅಭಿನಯಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಸುಮಾರು ರು.20 ಕೋಟಿ ಬಜೆಟ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ ಕಿಕ್ ಚಿತ್ರ ಬಾಕ್ಸ್ ಆಫೀಸಲ್ಲಿ ರು.30 ಕೋಟಿ ಕಲೆಕ್ಷನ್ ಮಾಡಿತ್ತು.

ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂಲ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಯಥಾವತ್ತಾಗಿ ತರದೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ ತರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಸಾಧು ಕೋಕಿಲ. ಅದೇನು ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಚಿತ್ರ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಯಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಲಿದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿಯ ತನಕ ಕಾಯಲೇಬೇಕು

ಅರ್ಜುನ್ ಜನ್ಯ ಸಂಗೀತ, ಅಶೋಕ್ ಕಶ್ಯಪ್ ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಹಣ ಸಾಧು ಕೋಕಿಲ ಅವರ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದಲ್ಲಿ, ಕೆ ಮಂಜು ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದ 'ಸೂಪರ್ ರಂಗ' ಡಿ ಟಿ ಎಸ್ ರೇರೆಕಾರ್ಡಿಂಗ್ ಹಂತವನ್ನು ತಲುಪಿದೆ. ಅರ್ಜುನ್ ಜನ್ಯ ಅವರ ಸಂಗೀತ, ಅಶೋಕ್ ಕಶ್ಯಪ್ ಅವರ ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಹಣ ಈ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಇದೆ.

ಪಾತ್ರವರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಿಯಾಂಕಾ, ರಘು ಮುಖರ್ಜಿ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ, ಕೃತಿ ಕರ್ಬಂಧ, ರಘು ಮುಖರ್ಜಿ, ಪ್ರಿಯಾಂಕ, ದೊಡ್ಡಣ್ಣ, ರಂಗಾಯಣ ರಘು, ಬುಲ್ಲೆಟ್ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್, ದಯಾನಂದ, ಸಿದ್ಲಿಂಗು ಶ್ರೀಧರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಇನ್ನಿತರರು ತಾರಾಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಸೂಪರ್ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಬಳಿಕ ಕ್ಯಾಮೆರಾ ಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕಶ್ಯಪ್ ಅಶೋಕ್ ಕಶ್ಯಪ್ ಅವರ ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಹಣ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕಿದ್ದು 'ಸೂಪರ್' ಚಿತ್ರದ ಬಳಿಕ ಅವರು ಉಪ್ಪಿ ಅವರ 'ಸೂಪರ್ ರಂಗ' ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಕ್ಯಾಮೆರಾ ಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Upendra enjoys hospitality, Kudla style (Uppi-2)

Real Star Upendra was back on his home terrain earlier this week. The actor, director was on a recce for his upcoming directorial Uppi 2 in Karavali. Accompanied by friend and cinematographer Ashok Cashyap, the actor scouted a series of locations in Kudla, Hebri, Padubidri and Agumbe.
"I have always loved shooting in this part of the state. It is my home ground after all. In the past too, we have shot songs and climaxes of many of my films in and around Mangalore and Kundapur," shares Upendra. The actor visited a heritage home in Yermal near Padubidri and later proceeded to Hebri and Agumbe. "We spend two wonderful days there including eating local delicacies; I've also finalized some beautiful locations that have never been shown on the screen before," says Uppi, who then proceeded to Ooty for the final leg of the recce.

The actor refrained from mentioning the exact locations as he didn't want attract attention from locals when the team begins filming here.
