Pranitha bags Brahma

Sandalwood actress Pranitha Subash, who is busy with films in Kannada and Tamil, has bagged another biggie back home. The actress has been roped in to star opposite Real Star Upendra in director R Chandru's Brahma. Pranitha, though, we hear, was not the Charminar makers first choice. Chandru had, apparently approached Trisha for the film, but she was allegedly not keen to do a Kannada project, even though her film RUM will bring her to Sandalwood.

Then it was the turn of Sarathee actress Deepa Sannidhi, but she is rumoured to have quoted a remuneration package that Chandru could not offer. According to a source, he then turned to Pranitha, who quickly lapped it up. Brahma is scheduled to be launched on May 16, after Upendra's return from his Dubai holiday.

Meanwhile, Pranitha's next Kannada release is the remake of the Tamil film Pizza, called Whistle, which will see her with Chiranjeevi Sarja.
