Real Star Upendra is known to go all-out for his roles and the actor recently took Mysoreans by surprise as he was spotted running around on a busy street, dressed as a swami and weilding agun. Upendra was in this get-up while shooting for his upcoming film Basavanna.

ನಟ ರಿಯಲ್ ಸ್ಟಾರ್ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರ ಅವರು ಈಗ ಆರ್ ಚಂದ್ರು ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ 'ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ' ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಜಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸ್ಯಾಂಡಲ್ ವುಡ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರಿ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಮೂಡಿಸಿರುವ ಚಿತ್ರವಿದು. ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮೈಸೂರು ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ನ ಏಳನೇ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕೋತ್ಸವದಲ್ಲಿ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 22ರಂದು ಭಾನುವಾರ ಸಂಜೆ 5.30ಕ್ಕೆ ಮೈಸೂರು ದಸರಾ ವಸ್ತುಪ್ರದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಿ.ವಿ. ಕಾರಂತ ಮಂಟಪದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ವರ್ಣರಂಜಿತ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿತ್ರನಟ, ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ರಿಯಲ್ ಸ್ಟಾರ್ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರರವರಿಗೆ ಮೈಸೂರು ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಫಿಲ್ಮಿ ಅವಾರ್ಡ್ 'ಸ್ಯಾಂಡಲ್ ವುಡ್ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ' ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪ್ರದಾನ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.

ಮೈಸೂರು ಪೇಟ ಹಾಕಿ, ಶಾಲು ಹೊದಿಸಿ, ಹಾರ, ಫಲತಾಂಬೂಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಫಲಕವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ನೆರೆದ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ನ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರುಗಳ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಡಾ. ಭಾಷ್ಯಂ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿ, ಉದ್ಯಮಿ ಎಂ. ಸಂಜೀವ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಪಿ.ಎನ್. ಶ್ರೀನಾಥ್ ರವರು ಉಪೇಂದ್ರರವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪ್ರದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರರವರು ಮೈಸೂರು ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ನ ನೂತನ ಕ್ಯಾಲೆಂಡರನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ನ ಶ್ರೀನಾಥ್ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ, "ಒಂದೇ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಚಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಎಂಬತ್ತರ ದಶಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ತಿರುವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟವರು ಉಪೇಂದ್ರರವರು. ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿತ್ರ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ, ನಾದ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಗಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈಗ ನಮ್ಮ ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರದ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ 'ಸ್ಯಾಂಡಲ್ ವುಡ್ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ' ಉಪೇಂದ್ರರವರು ಎಂದು ಸಭೆಗೆ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದರು. ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರ ತುಂಬಿರುವ ಈಗಿನ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ 'ಸೂಪರ್' ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಲೋಕಪಾಲ ಮಸೂದೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಜನತೆಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೇ ರಾಜಕೀಯದ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮತೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಉಪೇಂದ್ರರವರು ಮುಂದಿನ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗೆದ್ದು ಬರಲಿ ಎಂದು ಶ್ರೀನಾಥ್ ಹಾರೈಸಿದರು. ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ದಿವಂಗತ ಶ್ರೀಕಂಠದತ್ತ ನರಸಿಂಹರಾಜ ಒಡೆಯರ್‍ರವರಿಗೆ ಮೌನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತಾಪ ಸೂಚಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಭಾಷ್ಯಂ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿಯವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಗಣ್ಯರು ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಬೆಳಗಿಸಿದರು. ಎಂ. ಸಂಜೀವ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿಯವರು ಮೈಸೂರು ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ನ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. Music of Upendra strarrer 'Brahma- The Leader' to release on December 29th

The wait is finally over. The much awaited music of superstar Upendra's 'Brahma -The Leader' will be out on December 29, Sunday.

The audio release program will be held in Nehru field, Hubli, which will be attended by the cast and crew of the film. The event is also expected to be graced by other eminent personalities of Kannada film industry.

'Brahma-The Leader' is the first combination of director Chandru and Upendra, which has been simultaneously made in Kannada, and Telugu. Along with Uppi, the movie also features Pranitha, Sonu Sood, Nasar, Ananth Nag, Ranghayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila, Bullet Prakash, Suchendra Prasad, Sumitra and others in the important roles. Gurukiran has scored the music for the film.

Upendra To Take Legal Action Against Topiwala Producer?

Superstar Upendra's last release Topiwala was getting dubbed into Telugu in a brisk pace. The news, which has emerged from pearl city Hyderabad, made the actor upset as he holds the dubbing rights of the movie. Upendra, who holds both remake and dubbing rights of the movie, is not even aware of the development. It is reported that the actor has decided to take legal action against Kanakapura Srinivas and KP Srikanth, who had produced Topiwala in Kannada.

Speaking to Chitralokha, Upendra said, "I am saddened and upset with what is going on. I have the remake and dubbing rights is one point, but I was not even informed that they are going ahead. Some one from Andhra Pradesh informed me. I am seeking legal advice now and will be issuing legal notices to the concerned parties by tomorrow." Sources said that the dubbed version of Topiwala was titled in Telugu as Swiss Bank Ki Daaredi? Topiwala, which was released in March 2013, was a political satire film. It was written by Upendra and directed by MG Srinivas. Apart from Uppi, it also featured Bhavana, Ranagayana Raghu, Ravishankar, Maithreyi, Vyjayanth Biradar, Raju Talikote, Achyuth Kumar, Mukthi Mohan in the significant roles.

Upendra Gets Candid With UB Export Consumers

Karnataka's iconic beer brand - UB Export provided lucky consumers to meet their favourite star Upendra for an evening full of entertainment and unlimited fun. At a glittering bash which also saw the brand celebrated Sandalwood's Real Star's 45th birthday, Upendra was seen getting candid with his fans as they shared precious moments with each other. In a contest run by UB Export, fans from across the State were selected to meet the star at celebrations organized by United Breweries Limited at TajVivanta, on November 30. Excited audiences shook hands with Upendra and tapped feet on popular numbers performed by Sandalwood's sensational music scorer Arjun Janya.

Speaking on the occasion Upendra, said "It's an extremely happy moment for me. What can be better moment for any artist than connecting with his fans. I have been associated with UB Export over a decade now, and it has been a joyous journey. ‘Yella ok...?' reverberates in people's mind till date and has been my most popular dialogue. Bramha's title responsible for film's delays

The shoot for the Upendra-starrer Bramha was completed on Saturday at the NICE Road in Bangalore, when a few action sequences, including a bomb blast and car-toppling scene, were shot.

Director Chandru says that he shot for nearly 100 days for this film. He added that it was a really tough task shooting the film, especially as they were not able to complete the shoot in the time frame they set themselves. Then, he met a friend of his named Natesh in Mumbai, who told him that the title of the film was responsible for the delay, and then a Shiv puja should be done to rectify the problem. It is now said that the film's producer, Manjunath Babu, will be doing a special puja for this purpose.Upendra and the film's lead actress Pranitha were present on the last day of the shoot. Thriller Manju choreographed the action sequences.
