Upendra's Super wins one award instead of two

The controversy regarding the Kannada State Awards 2010-11 finally came to an end with the awards being announced today. The state government had constituted a new film advisory committee, headed by veteran film director-producer Dore Bhagwan T. His committee reconsidered the films for the state film awards for 010-11. The state film awards 2010-11, which were announced in April last year, were withdrawn after two petitions were filed claiming conflict of interest vis-a-vis some members of the previous advisor committee.
Alleged complaints against a jury member was observed as several awards were supposedly given to Upendra's Super, including the Best Actor Award. After several people raising the complaints to the superior, a revised committee was formed. The new committee, however, has given only one award to Super, which is a special prize for graphics. Upendra's Super was supposed to get the Best Director and Best Film award. But now the awards have gone to someone else.
