Kannada star Upendra is known to spend a lot of time scripting for his films. His next release Topiwaala, written by the star himself, was in the making for over a year. "Scripting is a continuous process. Each time you think you have got everything in place, there comes yet another idea to better the same. That's probably why it takes so long," he tells us.
Incidentally, Upendra's next, after the release of Topiwaala, is a film that the star plans to direct himself. "The story idea itself is around five years old. It was meant to go into production even before I directed Super. However, things have fallen in place now and I am excited about what we have put together in terms of script. We are currently working on the dialogues. While we are yet to finalize on the cast, we think we will be able to start shooting for this film in May this year. We are yet to finalize the title for the film," says Upendra.
