Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam may still not have released in Tamil Nadu, but the film seems to be a big hit with the movie aficionados in Karnataka. In fact, the fans have taken to their Twitter accounts to tell Kannada film industry's Real Star Upendra that they find the film similar to Swasthik, a film that was made by Uppi a decade ago with Raghavendra Rajkumar in the lead.
The film, which might not have been Uppi's biggest hit, was still a hit with the critics. The film spoke about patriotism, as it spoke about a police officer who was raised by terrorists. A lot of the fans have found some parts of Vishwaroopam to be similar to the themes that Swasthik dealt with.
Take this fan's quote for example, "Proud movement for Uppi @realupendra Vishwaroopam has close resemblance to your decade old Swasthik. Wow." Truly, this seems like a 'wow' moment for Upendra, whose films are always considered to be ahead of their times. Just like how Rajinikanth's Endhiran too was compared to Upendra's Hollywood, where Upendra has essayed dual roles - one of a human and the other of an Android Robot, it looks like Vishwaroopam remainds Uppi fans of their favourite dirctor-actor's previous film.
