The third edition of Raj Cup began was launched by Real Star Upendra and Raghavendra Rajkumar on Oct 27. The group matches were held at three prominent north Karnataka towns—Bagalkot, Bijapur and Gulbarga.The teams named MLA Eleven, Fighters, Press & Media, Villains, Young Stars, Dancers, Krishna Rukmini, and Artists Association team, battled it out under the blazing hot sun.
Puneeth Rajkumar-led Press Media team won three of their matches to enter the semi-finals, while MLA Eleven stormed to make it to the last four. Yogi’s Fighters XI clinched two wins, while Artists Association also made it to the semi-finals.
The media team will take on MLA XI, while Yogi’s Fighter XI will face Artists Association on November 10 and 11 at Hassan, in a bid to enter into the grand finals.
The final is scheduled to be held at Kuala Lumpur on November 28.
