As the Indian Premiere League T 20 begins today the shiver starts for the box office. Almost all the stars films are lined up for release. It starts from 4th of April inaugural match of IPL the season of five ends on May 27, 2012.
Nearly 100 crores worth Kannada films are waiting for the releases and all the producers are worried because Matinee to night shows (three shows) the collections would have impact because of this quickie match where nine countries cricket players are spread in different teams.
Kannada films like Anna Bond of Puneeth Rajakumar, Katari Veera Sura Sundarangi and Godfather of Upendra, Bheema Thiradalli of Vijay (the first to get affected), Dev Son of Mudhe Gowda of Diganth, Shivarajakumar ‘Shiva’, Darshan starring ‘Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna’ (biggest film of Rs.25 crores), Ajay Rao starring ‘Breaking News’, V Ravichandran starring ‘Crazy Loka’, Prajwal Devaraj Sagar, Golden star Ganesh ‘Romeo’, big budget newcomer ‘Addhuri’, Jaanu of Yash, Kiladi Kitty of Srinagara Kitty, Shathru of Premkumar, ‘Prem Adda’ of actor cum director Prem in lead role and a few others are ready to appear in the 54 days of IPL matches. The biggest fear of no attendance is what bothering the Kannada film producers. It is the same in the case of other language films too.
