The stars and their kids : Real, Hatric & Golden

One wonders if celebrity fathers have time to spend with their families, especially their children, considering their hectic schedules.
But what is heartening is that they make time to be with their children and are thrilled to admit that they are as much an active participant in the child’s upbringing as their spouses are.

They all say in one voice that although there are things that only mothers can do, fathers don’t want to miss a moment of their children’s growing years. Celebrity fathers relive their childhood and younger days through their children all over again.
Actor Upendra confesses that his two children — eight-year-old Aayush and seven-year-old Aishwarya — have taught him to be more responsible and patient. “It’s amazing how kids can turn your life right round.

They’ve brought so much meaning into my life. Even today when I return from shooting, however exhausted I may be, I always sit with them and read stories from the Ramayana and Mahabharata,” says Upendra. He says that he thinks a lot before answering all their questions. “Kids are innocent and they tend to believe whatever their parents tell them. So, I am careful when I reason with them.”

Shivarajkumar says that he has always been very close to his daughters — Nishu and Niveditha. He says, “My wife Geetha and I have always made it a point to spend as much time with our children as possible. I buy them surprise gifts and we travel together whenever I can grab some time from work.” Shivanna adds that his children have always been very comfortable with him. “During their exams, I would make it a point to wrap up work early just to get home to teach them. It’s worth spending every moment with them,” he observes.

And Shivanna gets regular feedback on his looks and his choice of clothes as well from his kids. “I ask my children if my hairstyle is alright and if my style quotient is in keeping with their taste. They belong to today’s generation and are the best judge,” he explains.

Ganesh’s three-year-old Charitrya waits for him to get back home just to get a glimpse of her father.

The two exchange a few quick moments before the little one dozes off. Ganesh says, “I’ve bought an iPad only for her.

She watches all her cartoons — her favourite being Chhota Bheem and sometimes, I end up playing the character of Chhota Bheem when I am at home with her,” says Ganesh and adds, “she calls me when I am away and updates me on all the happenings at home. Now, she asks a lot of questions and finding innovative answers is a challenge in itself.”
